Antique French Bisque S.F.B.J. Character Doll, Mold 235

Offered for sale is an antique French doll made by the S.F.B.J. Company. The doll is a character doll marked:

The doll is 17 inches tall on an all articulated original body. It has an open-closed mouth with two molded upper teeth. The blue glass eyes are stationary, set in narrow openings. There are molded folds in the cheeks under the eyes.  The hair is molded bisque, very lightly tinted. parted on the side.
The head is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, nor breaks, with soft coloring and excellent painting. There is a slight darkening in the mold line on one side of the top of the head and a very "tiny" chip on the top of the head. The body is in very nice condition with its original paint and varnish. The right hand has small finger cracks in the composition, the left has paint missing. Both have all of their fingers. (Please see photos)
