Antique French Musical Mechanical doll with jumeau head.
This antiquity was purchased from the Fran Mohr collection many years ago.
This antique doll represents a boy dressed as a “polichinelle”.
The doll has a protruding hump on back and is dressed in all alternation squares of dark rose turquoise silk with gold beaded trim.
Music plays well, head turns, arms raise and lower in alternating sequences.
Both hands have some restoration and lack whatever they were originally held.
Sheep skin wig on head. This antique doll works well, and is a very nice example of a true automaton doll.
